In 2020, during the height of a global pandemic, we were forced to make many adjustments to how we lived on a daily basis. Of these changes, the one that was particularly hopeful was the visible increase of support for local economies. For a few years our relationship with our surroundings changed as we all worked together to support small businesses and communities. When we couldn't be global, we were encouraged to be local.
As the world opened up again, the support for local economies began to wane and the chants for "shop small, love local" quieted significantly. After rallying to stay open for 2 plus years, many small shops now closed their doors for good. While our economy may have shifted again, we still have the same buying power to select where our hard earned money goes. We can choose to live more locally.
Our Small Town Charm Box was born from the choice we have to be more local and to make connections with the places and people around us. All across Ontario are small towns with history, stories, and local economies waiting for visitors like you. We want to introduce, or re-introduce, these towns to you with a unique experience box filled with products, coupons, and information on a charming small town in Ontario.
It's time for you to discover someone else's local.
